Dressed in purple, GFWC Nu Era Study Club members of Independence, Missouri packed two First Night Kits for women and six Stress Kits for children at their October 3rd meeting. Kits were delivered to Hope House, domestic violence shelter in Independence, Missouri, on October 27th in observance of "Make a Difference Day." Also at that meeting, Gay Tarr, member of GFWC President's Special Project Domestic Violence Committee, presented "The Blanket Exercise" using members of the club as participants to illustrate the horrors of domestic violence.
